While some nutritionists would say that nothing good can happen at the drive-thru window, other people have been able to figure out ways to order healthy fast food.
According to WebMD.com, here’s a rundown of some of the healthiest fast food meals out there:
- Grilled Chicken Sandwich and Fruit Cup from Chick-fil-A – I know... we don't have Chick-Fil-A in Vegas, but incase you find yourself hungry in Utah, this one is for you. You’ve got to order it without mayo and make sure it’s served with a whole grain bun.
- Chili-Topped Potato at Wendy's – It’s not on the regular menu so you’ll have to order a plain baked potato and a small chili – and mix the two yourself.
- Grilled Chicken Breast with Mashed Potatoes, Corn on the Cob from KFC – This is a simple meal deal with two sides.
- Chicken Teriyaki Bowl from Jack in the Box – It’s pretty much just rice, meat and veggies.
Now, there are a couple problems with these meals: First, they don’t taste nearly as good as a juicy burger. And, maybe worse, they’re really hard to eat while you’re driving.
Think about it. How in the world are you supposed to eat a baked potato topped with chili while cruising down the freeway?
Just asking, do you actually try to order healthy food from drive-thrus? Or … Do you embrace the fact that the food is unhealthy – and just enjoy it?
