The Mindy McCready story just got darker...

Looks like Mindy apparently shot her dog before turning the gun on herself. According to reports, neighbors heard two gunshots on Sunday afternoon before police discovered Mindy and her dog on the front porch of her home in Arkansas. 

Last month, Mindy told NBC's Dateline that the dog had retrieved the bullet that killed her boyfriend David Wilson. Wilson's death is still under investigation.

I'm about to say something that may turn some people off... So let me just state that these are my views and not those of the company that hired me. Yes, the loss of a life is always a sad thing, but what Mindy did was selfish. It's terrible that she took the life of, not only herself, but also her pet. It's even more terrible that she could leave her children behind so easily.

Maybe someone who's reading what I'm writing has had, or is currently having, suicidal thoughts. For that person, let me remind you that there is always help. In fact, let me urge you to get that help! Ending your temporary pain only leads to hurting the people who will have to live with your permanent decision.
