When we first heard that MTV might enlist the cast of "Jersey Shore" to do a Hurricane Sandy "clean-up" special, it sounded like a TERRIBLE idea. Well, they ARE going to do it . . . but it doesn't sound nearly as exploitative and insensitive as it COULD have been. MTV has announced that they're doing a one-hour, live "fundraising special" called "Restore the Shore", which will involve the "Jersey Shore" cast as well as the nonprofit group Architecture for Humanity. It will air next Wednesday night. The cast will be in Times Square, with "various celebrity guests," where they'll be collecting donations to benefit the "Restore the Shore" fund. Architecture for Humanity is leading the effort to rebuild the Seaside Heights boardwalk, which was heavily featured on "Jersey Shore".
